Responsible gambling

Gambling is for adults

Games of chance are for people aged 18 and over only. The content of this site is not intended for minors.

Gambling is not a way to earn money

The lottery is entertainment with known mathematics: in the long run, more is paid in than is won. Our simulator exists precisely to make that visible: run any combination through the whole history of draws and you will see how much would have gone on stakes and how much would have come back.

When it is time to stop

Signs that playing is no longer entertainment:

  • you play with money you need to live on, or borrow to play;
  • you raise your stakes to "win back" what you lost;
  • you hide from people close to you how much you play;
  • you think about playing even when you are not playing, and find it hard to stop once you start.

Where to look for help

If you recognise these signs in yourself or in someone close to you, talk to your doctor or contact a local mental health or gambling support service. Problem gambling is a treatable condition and help exists. Licensed operators must let you exclude yourself from playing; ask the operator you play with. Each country's version of this page lists the helplines available there.

Practical rules

  • set an amount you can afford to lose and do not go over it;
  • do not play to solve a financial problem;
  • do not play under stress or under the influence of alcohol;
  • take breaks: winning and losing are equally random.
